Introduction Retired Chief of the Rhode Island Division of Forest Environment. I retired in 2005 after serving 31 years for the state, 20 years as the lead forestry official. I currently teach forestry at the University of Rhode Island as a per course instructor. I am the past President, of the Southern New England Forest Consortium, Inc. and I'm currently serving as Chair for the Rhode Island Tree Council, Inc. and Director for the Rhode Island Natural History Survey. I am vice- chair of the RI Chapter of the Society of American Foresters.
