Introduction A professional journalist for more than eight years, Dryden moved to Boise, Idaho, in November 2005 to write for Thrive, a defunct arts and entertainment/lifestyle weekly published by the Idaho Statesman newspaper. When Thrive ceased publication in 2007, he was absorbed into the Statesman staff to write features and A&E content, primarily for Scene magazine. His third and final role with the paper was covering the city of Boise. Dryden is the winner of multiple writing awards, including two first-place finishes in the 2006 Idaho Press Club Awards (Arts and Entertainment and Outdoors Reporting). An avid music fan, Dryden has written extensively on the topic for several publications, including ReadyMade, Zink and Metro Boston, and is co-founder of the Vinyl Preservation Society of Idaho. The Ohio native and Ohio University graduate lives in Boise with his wife Erica and baby daughter Magnolia.
