| Introduction | My favorite author, C.S. Lewis, about sums up my perfect day: "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me." Though I long to be a brave, adventurous soul, I find myself gravitating to the fire and the bookshelf far more than the raging sea and endless sky. My great passion is to know and love the One true God, and to live an authentic, persevering Christian life. (That's the "Love the Lord your God" part.) This blog is my humble attempt to encourage my fellow pilgrims along this road, all the other "strangers and sojourners" travelling the highway of this present darkness, leading ever homeward. (That's the "Love your neighbor" part). I've carried on with Stephen (a.k.a. Smitty) my fine chappy of a husband lo these many years (since 1988), and we have three, one-of-a-kind, joy of my heart offspring (Joseph, Hannah Mary Rejoice, and David). We also feed and pamper the world's best cat, Cosette, and the world's second best cat, Domino. We live in upstate New York, home to great apples, unpredictable weather and God's most beautiful Octobers. |
