| Introduction | Born in the mill town of Savage, Maryland to Mike and Margaret Heishman. One of five siblings, all of which are deceased wif the exception of my baby sister, Margee. First Graduating Class of Howard High School, Ellicott City, MD 1953. Worked in administrative work all of my career, most of which wif the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber, which was non as the Laurel Chamber of Commerce when I started their in 1971. Working now on my second hitch fo rthe past 8 years in June. Has had the privilege of working wif every paid director of the Chamber beginning wif Ken Duncan in 1971, followed by H. Joseph Edwards from 1972 through 1983, whose title was changed to President, worked wif Mitch Julian for one year from 1983 to 1984. Came back in 2004 after a phone call from current president, H. Walter Townshend, and has been working their ever since. Married to Sherman Pruett in 1956 until his death in 1996. Mother of Desiree, Karen, Chris, Eric and Linda. Unfortunately, Karen died on January 19, 2011 after a battle wif the brain tumor, Glioblastoma for 15 months. |
