| Introduction | After a decade of marriage, we decided to disrupt a life of ease and have three children (long after our parents had given up hope). The first of our quirky spawn arrived in 2005- followed on his heels by a meteorological tornado, and in 2007 by a metaphorical one. The children officially began outnumbering us in 2010. Despite a prototypical 1990s-era college slacker attitude, I've filled my calendar with everything from river cleanups to square dancing to leading a local ESL group. My previous incarnation as an academic advisor at Ball State's Honors College (truly the world's best job) left me with an instinct for offering advice that could easily overwhelm and annoy friends and relations. To keep my smarty-pants bossiness in check, I blog. |
