| Introduction | Somebody already said it; I grew up in the best of times and the worst of times. Family was important, friends were plentiful, life was good. Thank God for the hard times as well as the good times. We went barefoot in the summer. Lord, your sweet brown earth felt so good on the bottom of our feet. Especially when we followed behind grandpa's old plow horse in warm spring sunshine. I love poetry and telling about life as it was and is. Time is too fleeting, this life time is passing by in a hurry, my grandchildren are grown. Someone said life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes, how true that seems to be. I grew up in Louisiana lived there and loved it, until I was 55 years old, then we moved to the Texas panhandle, following our grandchildren. We grew to love this wide open land with sky as far as your eye can see. Now we feel claustrophobic when we go back to Louisiana with all the trees. One thing is for sure though, we still miss the great seafood and boiled peanuts. |

My hands are a bit unsteady, the computer is my greatest interest because I can find great friends, write & play my favorite game Fish World on it. Fish World is an artistic outlet without the expense of paint and canvas. |

Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
They pronounced me dead before I was born, the rumor of my death was greatly exaggerated, they sent for my dad in Germany during the war he came home to bury his baby & maybe his wife only to find us both alive.
