About me

Introduction James Keye is a pseudonym. I am an intensely private person though moderately well known in my community; I find it much simpler to not have to deal with explaining my views should people I know run across my writing. This personal reluctance should in no way compromise the content of the essays; they are my most fully considered thought product and I stand by them when asked under any name. I am in my late seventies. My whole life has been devoted to the study of what it is to be a member of my species – this is in no way trivial. To that end I have formally studied geology, biology, chemistry and psychology, and avocationally studied physics, cosmology, philosophy, economics, politics and more. I discovered early on that I didn’t fit the academic life and left university teaching after a few years. I started a business in the arts that entertained and supported me for many years, working primarily with artists, then returned to teaching and working on education issues with public schools. Other than these few details the rest is in the essays.
