Introduction	As a young Indian woman, being a jewellery designer and manufacturer, allows me to look in to my Hindu culture for inspiration which then translates directly into my work. My style of jewellery is very bold but also intricate at the same time. Traditional Indian bridal jewellery, textiles, mendhi patterns and sari fabric is what gets me into a creative mode. I’m trying to dig deeper and find the meanings behind the traditional symbols and patterns in Hinduism and in a way my aim is to capture the essence of traditional pieces in a fresh contemporary style. I see my work as a contribution to Contemporary Indian design.
