About me

Occupation PhD Student
Introduction Procrastinate(hD) is a PhD student studying bioacoustics with a special interest in passive acoustic monitoring for conservation. Bioacoustics is the study of the biology and sound. This broad field of research includes everything from seal scaring devices used to protect fish farms from flippered marauders to learning how the elusive forest elephants of central Africa communicate. This blog is a place for me to discuss interesting topics in bioacoustics, park useful links and forward bits of knowledge that have been passed onto me by others in the field. My hope is that this blog inspires the uninitiated as well as serves as a useful resource for those in the field (particularly anyone looking to use PAMGuard software). Thanks for reading and feel free to leave comments.
