| Introduction | Several years ago, Rev. Andre Allen (while Pastor of Second Baptist Church of Wheaton) requested that I make the offertory appeal to our congregation during our Sunday worship services. At that time I was serving as a deacon and budget chairperson of the church. I sought God regarding the messages I should share. While compiling these messages for publication, God revealed to me the theme of the messages He had given to me. What I found is that while I was focused on giving He was focused on relationships. The guidance in scripture regarding our giving is also guidance regarding our relationship with God. I believe He has invited me to assist in facilitating a dialogue within the Christian Community about this topic.
