Introduction	I have been active environmentally since I first learned about this province's plans to massively expand the hog industry back in 1999. I watched as one Gary took over premiership of Manitoba from another, and realized that there was no significant difference between the PCs and NDP when it comes to understanding the relationship of society and economy to ecology - our environment. I have since become an environmental educator, working to teach about Earth's cycles to children and researching ways to connect people to a deeper understanding of our home, planet Earth, so we may tread more gently upon her. I believe the changes we make today need to be deep, collective and systematic, which is why I chose to become involved in the Green Parties of Manitoba and Canada. Greens are part of a global movement and it will take a coordinated and cooperative effort to leave our home Earth in a state such that future generations can live here in peace and health.
