Introduction	I am the proud mother of 5 children. There are 2 boys and 3 girls ages 20-13. I started keeping a journal years ago and then a new one when my oldest, a son, told me he was enlisting in the Marines. I don't claim to be a literary genius, always grammatically correct, nor politically correct. What I am is a mom who is being taken on journey with her son. One of new military lingo, emotions, pride, and fear. As a way of dealing with this, and learning there are so many more out there that are afraid to share these feelings, I created this blog. I promise to be real. To talk about and express with honesty what is happening and what it is this mom, and many more out there are going through. Next time you see a man or woman in any branch of service thank them ~ and say a little prayer for their proud and yet very often confused and fearful family.
