| Introduction | Michael and Halie met in May 2006 on the Carnival ship "Victoria", on a Caribbean cruise. Michael went with a few single friends that he worked with, and a couple of married friends of his. Halie went with her roommate Tashina, and six guys. Their dinner tables were right next to each other every night and the first night Michael wore his University of Utah hat, so Halie made sure to view everyone on the table so she could recognize them later. The next morning, Halie and Tashina, just happened to stand behind Michael and his friend Stu in line for the waterslide. Halie recognized them and made Tashina ask them about the Ute's hat from dinner. To make a long story a little bit shorter, they had a very exciting and romantic courtship on the cruise ship and were sealed for eternity in the Bountiful, Utah Temple five months later on October 5th 2006. |
