| Introduction | I am 66, Father of two and Grandfather of two. I have been married 42 years to the love of my life. I was raised in California; joined the Marines at 18 for 4 years, served 2 1/2 of them in the Vietnam War. My nickname, J.R. is used by Marines I served with. Some have questioned why I maintain my connection to the Corps & those friends. The answer is it was a dramatic (not traumatic) period that helped shape the man I am. After the Corps I tried college and found it not useful for me; so I made a life based on "experiences", learning from and applying them in life and business. Politically I am a bastard Republican - fiscal Conservative/social Liberal. I believe in the right to choose in all areas of life, personal responsibility, and no mercy for those that do us wrong. I've made my share of mistakes and had my share of successes, with my "15 Minutes of Fame" long past. I don't think the Government or others owe me and I hope I don't leave any debts unpaid. This is for family & friends. New friends are welcome. Those with "crap" to spew can keep it as life is too short to read it. Semper Fi |
