| Introduction | I explore human characteristics and often use animals to describe humanity and each of our assets and defects. I use art to explore my own strengths and weaknesses of character, hoping others may relate. Making art for me is a meditation and puts me in touch with my Creator. I feel as though each art work- whether its a painting, drawing, or print- is born. Its already in the canvas or paper, waiting for me to pull it out and reveal it. Each starts with an idea, and each develops as I work, many times changing into something I may not have expected. I feel that this reflects how God works on me and my character; He is like an artist peeling back layers, adding new ones, until He slowly pulls me out of myself. |
