| Introduction | I am a second year Master of International Affairs student at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) in the fall. My focused area of study is political and economic development, with a concentration in gender studies. I am seeking to gain experience in the area of women's participation in peace processes in post-conflict areas. Prior to attending SIPA, I worked in the field of international development in Malawi, and in conflict prevention and women's safety for two INGOs based in Montreal. I attained my B.Com in International Management in 2008 from the University of Ottawa. |
