| Introduction | John Lynch was born in Regina but moved to Rouleau at an early age and lived there for the next sixteen years. The family moved to Regina in 1954 and John attended Luther College .Upon graduation he attended Regina College and the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.acquiring a major degree in Commerce and a minor in Arts and returned to Regina in 1963. He has held various Radio and TV football Broadcast postions over a thirty seven year period of time begining in 1969 with CJME as a half time host and weekly feature broadcaster. He would later become the play-by-play man and/or colour commentator for Roughrider broadcasts on CKCK and CKRM. He is a member of the Roughrider Plaza of Honour selection Committee and is a past member of the CFL Hall of Fame selection committee as well as being inducted into The Rural Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. He is married to Margie and together they have four children and two grand children. |
