| Introduction | After working our butts off for “the man” for the better part of a decade, we decided to give up the glorious office life and work on material for our book, The Loafer’s Manifesto, due out in 2009. Maybe. If we get around to it. The name Brammer is derived from the ancient Zapotec text regarding travel, leisure and the consumption of local spirituous beverages. Coincidentally, this is also the “celebrity nickname” given to us by Caraldo, better known as our friends Carah and Gerald(o). We begin in Austin, TX, on July 23, 2008. Our journey first takes us to Oaxaca, Mexico, through the end of August. We’ll fly back into Austin to catch the first football games of the season (also to do laundry and play catch up with friends and family). On September 3rd, it’s off to begin our European vacation until mid-December (holiday ro-oh-oh-oh-oad). This is our story. |
