About me

Gender Female
Introduction I had a profound personal encounter with Jesus 40+ years ago that has absolutely ruined me in the most beautiful way! I am 49 years a wife, and we have grown the most incredible family! Our brood has given us 15 gorgeous grandchildren! The homestead is a life long dream conceived as a young girl immersed in the Early American auto biographies I loved. I view it as in partnership with our Heavenly Father, who encouraged me to follow my heart, that my dreams had value to Him, that I had value to Him, I love hanging out with Him.... my little cabin with the stars out my window by night, and apple branch lullabies and soft breezes by day I feel safe and sense His great love for me. I love local food, have Pennsylvania German roots, love producing much of our own including cheese, butter, apple cider, vinegar, and probiotic soft drinks on occasion. I love old things, old ways, natural beauty...and I am the last person you want to drive behind after I've been antiquing:) .
Interests I grew up traipsing behind my Scout leader father, learning to read the forest, but chattering way too much to see anything:) I am a craftsman by nature and temperament. I enjoy textile art, weaving, spinning, natural dyeing, basketry, knitting, rug braiding, and crocheting. too many things to do well, but I have fun. I love to cook, and spend a good deal of time doing that. I enjoy dairying, and am enjoying the learning curve. I am a retired homeschool mom of 7, who has lived through the experience:)
Favorite Movies Watching movies is not something I do a lot... The Sound of Music, Iron Will, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Amazing Grace, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Favorite Music The songs the Holy Spirit sings over me, especially when my heart is troubled. Worship music, and formal choral music. I have a soft spot for Judy Garland, Julie Andrews and Mitch Miller, as my childhood was filled with their music, Lawrence Welk...not so much:)
Favorite Books The Bible/God's love letter, books that nurture my walk with the Lord, books that inspire and guide my creative pursuits, and books that give me a window into past generations their values, work ethic, solutions, especially in regards to living off the land
