Introduction When I lived in Portland, I was so poor I qualified for food stamps, which I eagerly accepted. I often spent them on things like real crab and truffle oil, or miatake mushrooms at the farmer's market. I didn't eat much, but damnit, I ate well. These days my income is a little more stable (though as a TA, it's not much higher) but I have much less time. So I'm learning to bake.
