"...SMALL..." means we can either car-top it or handle it on and off a trailer by ourselves "...CRUISE..." means we can sleep in it and carry all of the stuff we'll need for 3/4 days without re-supplying. "...OAR-POWERED..." means any sails are auxiliary and typically for down-wind only. Hull characteristics: ....high length to width ratio (especially at the waterline)... ...light ... ...low, especially at the ends... and sea-worthy enough for coast-wise rowing. Topics include: designs, building, techniques and equipment used. I was born in the late 1930's and now retired. Sharing of information is welcome and encouraged. |
