| Introduction | My husband and I met in 2006 and married in 2010. We had our lives all planned out: find steady jobs, buy a house, and start a family. Unfortunately, our plans were put on hold once we started trying to conceive. We started trying in March 2014. We finally saw an infertility specialist in January 2016. That's when I was diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve at the ripe old age of 30. We tried fertility medications, IUIs, and even IVF but nothing was working. In August of 2016, our third round of IVF resulted in one normal embryo which we successfully transferred in October. As of 2019, we have had a miscarriage and are working hard to conceive again. This blog lays out the journey from beginning to present. Hopefully, it can be used as a source of information and encouragement to others dealing with infertility. I hope that it highlights the reality of this terrible place and helps others build an understanding of what couples/men/women dealing with infertility go through. Join us on our journey to baby. |
