| Introduction | I live on a small property at Bell’s Bridge in sunny Queensland Australia with my wonderful husband who supports and helps me. He is also an excellent quilter. We also have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. I have been interested in all types of textiles all my life. My mother taught me to sew at a very young age. For the past 10 years I have run my Longarm Machine Quilting Business from my large workshop at home. I have been teaching textile related classes for about 15 years now after attending 4 years of training in Commercial Needlecraft and Fashion Retail. Since then I have experimented in many types of patchwork and quilting. I do much of my creating on the longarm machine now but teach domestic machine work as well. As well as teaching I attend many classes myself to keep up with the latest trends. Some say I am ahead of my time as projects I made many years ago are now in vogue. I am crazy about colour and love to use as much as possible in my work. Texture is another favourite so there is a lot of embellishing going on to create the look and feel I am after. |
