| Introduction | I am a trivial fascination at best. The hidden torments of my childhood nag at me from obscurity, and I am forced to challenge them blindly with only my ragged logic and intuition as weapons. Meanwhile, time continues to wash by in the river of happenstance where bustling campuses and chaotic highways prevail. I have to focus incessantly if I am ever to catch up with it. When the opportunity presents itself, I take a breathe and let my thoughts meld with the rejects' banter, humming engines, clicking heels, and colorful foliage of the changing external world. Youth has not completely departed from this lowest of pariahs, and I brandish it for the instrument that it is; my sanctum from which I may plot the scope of my aims. Stimulation and renewal provided by the cult-hit tragedies seen late at night and the hours spent sifting through rock recordings only strengthens my glacial resolve. This hellish throne, this experiential iso-ward, is mine. |
