About me

Occupation Mom, nurse, lactation consultant, children's ministry director
Introduction Well they say we are the "whatever" generation and that we are known for tolerance of thoughts and ideology. I am one of you. At the ripe age of 31 I am nursing my third child after falling victim to the formula industry with my first baby. After doing my homework I suffered much guilt over this. This endeavor for truth is not intended to invoke the "guilty Mom syndrome." I am just astounded at how many major life decisions that we make are not well thought out - what church one goes to, why one goes to church at all, what one believes about God, food, sports, and yes...breastfeeding. I counsel Moms all the time who just accept that breastfeeding is too hard and formula feeding is equally as good. I believed it too. Really? Seriously? Do we "believe everything we see on TV?" How about asking some serious questions? What's wrong with analyzing facts and seeking out truth these days? This blog is dedicated to much more than my personal or professional opinion - my hope is that it will stir conversation and at least thoughts about breastfeeding. If you have a stance then make it but don't just sit back and accept someone else's advice. Try! Think! Ask and chat with us about it!
