About me

Location Fort Collins, CO
Introduction Stephen Hatch has taught in the Religious Studies Department at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. He considers himself a sort of "worldly monk," dedicated to perceiving and sharing the wonders of life through the practices of silence, solitude, deep listening, meditation, contemplative prayer, community and a simple lifestyle. Stephen's practice is a combination of an Earthy Christian Mysticism, the spirituality of Nature writers (including Native Americans), and Buddhism, blended with elements drawn from other contemplative traditions. He has a B.A. in Religious Studies from Colorado State University (minor in Natural Resources), and an M.A. in Religion from Iliff School of Theology. Stephen is available for lectures, workshops and retreats on the relation between Nature and contemplative spirituality, tantric Christian mysticism, and the spirituality of the Enneagram.
