Introduction"Give a young girl who has good taste and sets little store on the fashion of the hour, some ribbon, gauze, muslin, and flowers, and she will make, without the aid of diamonds, lace and trinkets, a head-dress which will suit her a hundred times better than all the jewellery of Duchapt could do." by Jean-Jacques Rousseau (28 June 1712 – 2 July 1778) excerpt from his book “Emile”. Well, maybe the aid of a few Swarovski elements and pearls! I haven't always done this, created flower hair accessories, tutus and baby shoes. There was a time when my creativity came from making seasonal wreaths, accessorizing homes and creating wonderful chocolates! I didn't really care for pearls and laces and the whole sewing thing. It wasn't until my mother and I went to a fantastic ribbonwork class in a lovely home decor store that I developed a true love for this once almost lost art. I was absolutely amazed at how one could manipulate ribbons and scrap vintage fabrics to form a lovely flower! U-gathers, straight ruching, gathering on the wire, all create a different look. I gather inspiration from the palette of colors that God offers in his flowers. I am finally doing what I love! Welcome!
