| Introduction | It's been nearly a half century since I stood alone at midnight in the middle of a football field with no one else around, praying for the first time in my life to the God that he at last genuinely trusted, the one true God, the Father of Jesus Christ. After college I worked as a teacher for about 20 years and a volunteer firefighter and medic for about 25 years. I've has worked in a prison, helped the army destroy chemical weapons, managed a self-storage business, and fabricated orthotics. I'm is obsessed with learning new skills: guitar, woodworking, leatherwork, computer programming, etymology, origami, wild edibles, geocaching, camping, knotwork, crochet, and learning Welsh. Milt and Robin have been married now for 44 years, with three grown children and two grandchildren. Their favorite vacation spot is anywhere near the ocean; they read aloud every night before bedtime; and their favorite Sunday lunch is Fried Tomato Buffet in Montgomer, Alabama! I desire to become joyfully content in whatever situation God brings into my life here on earth, waiting to fully know and enjoy God now and forever. |
