| Introduction | 'Writing has always been a passion of mine, but when I worked at Penguin it was the editing process and feedback to writers that caught my imagination. This inspired me to set up Cornerstones: if I can tell a writer in five minutes what might take them a year to find out, then I consider that a good thing. I started off in my bedroom with five freelance editors; we now have an office with over 60 editors, Co-director Kathryn Robinson, Managing Editor Ayisha Malik, and the office dog, Coda. I've also co-written a book, How to Write a Blockbuster with Lee Weatherly, Hodder. This is all about how to self-edit and get published. This blog is a way of showing the public what we strive to do, and how we want to help aspiring authors live their dream of being published.' |
