| Introduction | I am a student in the Instructional Design and Technology PhD program at Virginia Tech. I have a CITSIE assitantship (link above). CITSIE is a research and development center with a focus in the following areas: * Design, development, and evaluation of learning experiences * Distance learning * Health promotion * Preparation of instructional technology professionals * Innovations in technology Our mission is to provide instructional technology research and outreach in cooperation with clients and partners in CITSIE is a research and development center. Currently,I am part of a team that is redesigning some of the courses in the Virginia tech Master's Program. Before that I had an assistantship at the Educational technology lab. I am Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro. In Rio, I cooperate with the Rio Metro School Board of Education and I am an international relations assistant for the Educopedia Project (Link above). I have been an educator for about 20 years. When I finish my course, in about two years, my plans are to get into higher education in a resort in Rio (Buzios - Cabo Frio) and run an exchange program for teacher training purposes. |

| Favorite music | I love all kinds of music, Brazilian music being in first place - all rythms but if I have to choose one, that´s Coracao de Estudante by Milton Nascimento. |
