| Introduction | Welcome to Once Upon a Thread, an online thread for my cross stitch designing endeavors. I am an Illustrator and Needlecraft Designer and run a cross stitch design company called Medeiros Needlecraft Design. I hope to use this forum as a means to share my design process, ideas and thoughts relating to designing needlework. When designing, I like for my creations to tell a story in some way. Needlework is a link to the past when a person beholds a piece of stitchery. Sometimes it tells a story of the person who stitched it, perhaps a beloved family member. Sometimes the piece is an expression of love from the stitcher to a cherished person in their lives. Either way, a story is told and hence the name of my blog "Once Upon a Thread".
