| Introduction | Roger Schank is the Chairman of Socratic Arts a company that delivers Story Centered Curricula to schools and businesses. He was the Chief Education Officer of Carnegie Mellon’s West Coast campus. He was the founder of the Institute for the Learning Sciences at Northwestern University where he was John Evans Professor of Computer Science, Education, and Psychology, (now Professor Emeritus.) Previously, he was Professor of Computer Science and Psychology at Yale University and Director of the Yale Artificial Intelligence Project.// Dimitri Lyras, is director of Lyras Shipping, and involved in many initiatives aimed at assisting the shipping industry in effectively addressing legislation or becoming self regulating. He is a member of the Intertanko Council a member of the Hellenic committee of Intertanko and was previously Vice Chairman in the Communications and Public Relations Committee of Intertanko and he is leading some of the world efforts to improve the image of the shipping industry and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. He has experience as technical director operating tankers and bulk carries since 1986. |
