| Introduction | My name is Jeff Jackson. I have two blogs. "The Professorial Shockjock" focuses on social criticism, politics, and religion. And, "The Practitioners' Truths" discusses the common problems in the mental health field. I am an independent writer and author in my early 40s. My first book published will be my memoir-manifesto on mental health treatment (and the ordeals associated with my diagnoses and treatment). Originally, I began a book on the men's rights causes in America (and other Western nations). This is about how men are still regarded and reviled as the privileged sex, with women needing endless government protections and/or more chivalry. This project began under a national award-fellowship program in the mid-2000's. By the mid-2010s, the latest, #MeToo media saturated feminist wave made publishing such a book impractical. I hail from Rhode Island, USA, where I graduated from college in 2003 with a BA in political science. |
