| Introduction | We have been a couple since my mother, Helen Simmer, introduced us to one another when I was 15 and he was 18, and have proved that Young Love Prevails through our 37 years of marriage! We have been serving God for over 40 years, primarily through the local church. John's passion is discipleship and right now God has led us to work with men and women who are incarcerated or recently released in the Greensboro, NC, area, in a discipleship ministry called Beyond the Walls/Jericho House. Our richest blessings have been our 3 girls and their families: Katie & Matthew with Cooper (4) and Connor (2); Susanna & Paul with Austin (6); and, Jaclyn & Brandon with John (3) and Ava (1-1/2). We are blessed and holding on to His Hand tightly as we endeavor to finish well the race for the prize! |
