Introduction Christine Montague is an award-winning visual artist, a painter and photographer. Her figurative landscape oil paintings and photographs explore themes of solitude without loneliness, hidden beauty, and subjects at the brink of change. Her work has appeared in over 50 art shows, many of them juried. Her portrait commission of Oscar Peterson hangs in Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre. Christine’s CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival solo show, “The Hidden Garden” (Mississauga’s Chappell Estate) was notably, the first photography show held at Visual Arts Mississauga. A passionate advocate for artists and an arts volunteer, Christine sits on the Lakeview Legacy Foundation Board. She creates out of her studio at the Williams Mill, Halton Hills and writes the Williams Mill Artists Blog, as well as her own.
