Initially, I was overwhelmed by the vibrant and exciting neighborhood. There was so much to do and see, and for the first time since I moved to New York City back in August 2006, I felt overwhelmed. As I began exploring my new surroundings, I was unable to keep track of everything. Every day I was walking down a new street, and every night I was trying a new restaurant or bar. There were so many exciting things around me, and despite being 21, I was worried that I would forget all about them. "The Chit 'n' Chat" was started to chronicle my love of food in Chelsea, but has since expanded to chronicle my life here in Chelsea, as well as New York dining in general. Now you may be wondering, who am I? I am a senior at New York University, where I in the midst of working to achieve my BA in Journalism and History. Afterward, I will be remaining at NYU for an additional year in order to get my MA in World History. After that? Who knows.
