| Introduction | So... Where to start? I'm an economist working for the Ministry of Finance in Malawi, having uprooted myself from sunny London in October 2005 to live here for the next couple of years and hopefully make some small impact on the country. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and heavily indebted as well. Having never blogged before, I'm not really sure what will make its way onto this page. Most likely it will just be my take on the frustrations and politics of economics in a developing country, from the vantage point of a civil servant, my continuing struggle to learn Chichewa ... and of course any football games I manage to see.... |
