| Introduction | Shri Sabnani holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with specialisation in Banking and Finance, from IGNOU, New Delhi, MA (Economics) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. His qualifications include Certified Associate (CAIIB), Diploma in Bank Management (DBM), Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM) and Diploma in Financial Services (DFS) of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF), Mumbai. He was awarded the prestigious “C.H.Bhabha Banking Research Scholarship” by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), Mumbai and successfully completed research work on “Branch Profitability – Methodology for its proper Assessment”. He has authored three books on Banking viz (i) WTO: Its Impact on Indian Banking and Industry; (ii) Banking Update; and (iii) Banking Today |
| Interests | Shri Prahlad Sabnani has retired as Dy. General Manager from State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai. He has served the Bank in various positions like DGM (ALM), Regional Manager (two different assignments) controlling branches in predominantly rural/semi-urban areas. He has also served as Branch Manager (AGM) of a large sized branch in New Delhi and Chief Manager in the Economic Research Department (ERD) at the Corporate Centre of the Bank in Mumbai. He has over 40 years of banking experience. He has contributed to several journals of banking and finance and has also presented papers at various conferences (BANCON). |
