| Introduction | I'm in the process of becoming disillusioned with church, and questioning nearly everything I've ever been taught in church. I thank God for this, because I would rather learn for myself what His word says, instead of depending on church traditions and what other people tell me what it says. I don't want to be "illusioned" anymore, so I thank God that He has initiated this process of disillusioning me. I trust Him to take me where He wants me to go, even if it's nowhere near the place that my churchy friends think it ought to be. I'm tired of all the religion that goes along with following Jesus; no matter how much they say "it's not a religion, it's a relationship" -- it still ends up being a religion. I don't want that anymore; I just want Jesus. I want Jesus without all the religious crap. Permitto Deus me induco. |
