| Introduction | My professional background in healthcare spans all sides of the health care equation: clinical care, technology, and academia. I served as an RN to patients in various parts of the world: Romania, Israel and South Africa.
I got involved in health information exchange at the national, state and regional level as: - a member of ONC's NHIN Team - charged with producing tests for what is now known as the NwHIN Exchange - a member of the HIP-TN (Health Information Partnership for Tennessee) Technical Workgroup that was tasked with establishing a state-wide health information exchange in Tennessee - member of the Southeast Regional Exchange's Technical Workgroup - charged with establishing an HIE in Chattanooga area. I founded Infomedtrix (www.infomedtrix.com) with the purpose of helping Chattanooga medical community improve patient care through the use of electronic health records (EHR) and health information exchange.
