Introduction | Married for 30+ years to my one and only love, I've worked professionally as a statistician most of my working life, while moving every three years as an USAF spouse. After spending years tutoring and home schooling my own daughters, I returned to the classroom, and taught middle school in an ideal situation in a classical Christian school. I have been quilting for 25 years, and find it is the perfect artistic complement to my mathematical mind. In 2012, I bought a longarm quilting system, and have my own business. |
Interests | Reading--all kinds. Fiction, nonfiction (math, science, theology, self-education, philosophy, mysteries, romances, science fiction, fantasy...toothpaste tubes!), Quilting, Art, Parenting, Teaching |
Favorite Movies | I haven't met many movies I don't love. Lifelong loves include Guys and Dolls, Pillow Talk, Imitation of Life, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and recent favorites would be anything with Will Smith (including Hancock and those Men in Black), Must Love Dogs (and pretty much anything with Diane Lane, starting with "A Little Romance" when she was 13, or anything with John Cusack), and all things Pixar or Disney. |
Favorite Music | Show tunes...if it was in a musical, I listen to it. Soundtracks to Rent, Enchanted, Once More With Feeling (the musical episode of Buffy), Producers, Sweeney Todd, West Side Story and Wicked are all on my iPod. |
Favorite Books | Classic favorites: The Chronicles of Narnia, Mere Christianity, and The Great Divorce, as well as Out of the Silent Planet (C.S. Lewis), North to the Orient and Gifts From the Sea (Anne Morrow Lindbergh)...plus any of thousands of others. |
