About me

Introduction Kementari is a goddess in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Silmarillion"; in High Geek, it translates to "Earth Mama". Kem is the nickname I started using on the Delphi forums as an an ex-Catholic, ex-Lutheran, ex-Baptist Baha'i with Pagan and Buddhist leanings. Much of what I write here will be about religion and spirituality as an outsider who used to be an insider, with some politics and sex and general musings thrown in for good measure. I'm an atheist, plus I embrace my past as a person who held religious beliefs and found meaning in them. I'm an atheist, plus I care whether or not people are divided by their different beliefs like some insane reenactment of the Sneetches. I'm an atheist, plus I acknowledge that sometimes you've got to sing loud if you want to end war and stuff. Maybe we can't all just get along, but hopefully we can give each other a chance to be reasonable.
Interests juggling, taking the back roads and talking to the locals, reading, and ranting.
