| Introduction | I grew up in a small mountain community located in the Sierra National Forest. Since I was a small child I hav always loved to create. From arts and crafts on the kitchen table, to mud pies in the back yard, to designing clothes for my stuffed animals out of old scraps of material. It seems that my neighborhood friends and I never had a lack of imagination when it came to creating cleaver activities to entertain ourselves with. When All through school I took every art class there was soaking up as much creativity as I could. When it finally came time to decided what to do with my life a career in art seemed like the most exciting job I could imagine. What could be better then spending all day coming up with new creative ideas? Well, I found it...teaching and watching young minds explore art and come up with ideas I never even imagined right in my classroom!! |
