| Introduction | I am strong, opinionated, insanely organized and sometimes bossy (ask my family). I've been married for 22 years to my brilliant and amazingly patient husband (fact checker and sometimes blog ghostwriter). I am a proud momma to 15-year old twin boys (thanks science and IVF). I work very part time from home (often in my pj's) as a Virtual Assistant. When the kids get out of school I transform into Taxi Mom. I love science and history and prefer to read nonfiction. I stay sane by practicing yoga and listening to all types of really loud music (like teenager loud). I love to cook except when it means figuring out what to have for dinner (boo dinner). I blog to preserve our family memories (even though I'm often months behind). My guilty pleasures are The Real Housewives and dipping french fries in mayo (which I have to say is perfectly acceptable amongst the Dutch). |
| Interests | Cooking, Home Decorating, Politics & Making the world a better place, Infertility and IVF, Exercise and fitness (althought I don't necessarily love going to the gym and I've been known to follow up a good workout with a cheeseburger and fries....I know, I know!). My husband and I try to live in the moment and enjoy spending time with our kids and do the things that they enjoy doing at this age: games, bike riding, lots of cuddling, running and chasing around the house. I love experiencing the world through my kids eyes and introducing them to new things. |
