Introduction	Ah another parenting blog - just what the world needs! If you can't guess, it's based on the idea of getting the children (in my case, 4 1/2 year old twins) and myself outside every single day. And by outside I mean in a natural environment of some kind, interfacing with real nature: trees, flowers, pinecones, sticks, leaves, birds, groundhogs, snails, insects, you name it. It can be challenging when living in an urban environment to find these places but i've decided to prove it can be done. At the least it will be good for the children. And at the best, it will stave off my irrational desire to live in the country in a beautifully restored farm house, running a small farm, making soap and whatnot while my dear husband makes metal things and we miraculously make a living.
