Introduction | I am one of those people that never met a craft I didn't try once or twice. You name it I've probably done it, at least with jobs and crafts. I guess you would have to call me a Jill of all trades and master of very few! I love a good book, a sappy romantic comedy, and lightning storms. I also love wind storms, especially at the beach. There is an awesome power in the elements that just intrigues me. I cry at Hallmark commercials, coffee commercials, I pretty much bawl at the drop of a hat. Guess that makes me a sentimental sap, even though I'm told, that if you meet me that is not how I am perceived. I have a great sense of humor and I'm able to laugh at myself and the stupid things that I do. Sometimes, embarrassment prevails for a while, but eventually, I see the humor in things. I see myself as a survivor. I went through some rough times when I was younger. Those times and the stupid things that I've done in my life, have made me a better person today. They certainly made me stronger. I'd say I'm one of the good guys, and at this point in my life I can say "I like me". |
Interests | My first love is wood turning, but I haven't been able to do it for a while. My good friend and mentor, Frank Lynn died in 2008 and I just can't turn without thinking of him. He would have a fit if he knew I wasn't turning because of him... but maybe soon. Then quilting and making jewelry. I love working with silver wire. |
Favorite Movies | Ladies in Lavender, Murphy's Romance, Somewhere in Time, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias, yup, sappy movies with happy endings are my faves |
Favorite Music | Acoustic Guitar, Country, Light Jazz, blues |
Favorite Books | Favorite authors - Nora Roberts & Debbie Macomber and remember Mary Stewart? She was very popular in the 60's and early 7-'s. I just love her. |
Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.
You mean I have a neck? Well of course I do! It used to hide under my chins, but now it's shinin' right out there in the open! Looks like a turkey waddle, but by gosh it's there!
