Introduction	Business manager - experience in the shipping and aviation industries. Born in the US, grew up in the UK, have worked in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and now based in Bangladesh where I work for an international airline. Began investing in 2006, since then have become increasingly fascinated by the financial markets and economics. The way in which preferences, decisions and events from an individual/micro level to a global/macro level interact and drive the prices of everything from corn to copper to stock options and foreign exchange is a constant source of intellectual curiosity for me. I blog mostly for my own interest, education and amusement. Putting my views down on paper and in a public forum forces me to research more thoroughly than I would do otherwise and crystallises my thinking. In summary I hope that writing a blog will accelerate the learning process towards becoming an accomplished investor and trader, as well as satisfy my intellectual curiosity for the subject.
