Introduction	Tom and I met while attending SIU at Carbondale in 1998. I am originally from Carterville and Tom is from Ottawa, Illinois. We became friends and began dating in December of 1999. We rang in the new year together (as Prince would say we "partied like it was 1999!") and have been together ever since. I began teaching in 2000. In 2001 we both moved to Ottawa to teach for two years. We were engaged July 3, 2002 in Ottawa and married June 21, 2003 at Reynoldsburg Church in Tunnel Hill, Illinois. After getting married we moved to Carterville to live and teach. I taught first grade in Carterville for six years and Tom taught 5/6 and sixth grade. In 2008 Tom was given the job of Assistant Principal/Athletic Director and I moved to Kindergarten. We had our first son Logan on November, 2005 and our second, Mason, was born February, 2009. They bring so much joy to our lives every day. Each day, even one filled with the trials of two boys, is truly amazing when filled with their presence. Each day we talk about how wonderful being parents has made our lives. We are blessed!
