GenderFemale

IntroductionI started making soap to de-stress. I have always been into making natural and using natural. Ask my kids and they will tell you with a slight groan all the "good for you" things I've imposed on them. Ask my brothers too, and you will get the same reaction. I've been doing this since I was a teen. My occupation is English teacher.
InterestsThe soap that I make is composed of pure vegetable oils. These oils do not clog the pores but wash off clean. I use mango and sal butters to help condition the skin, leaving it feel naturally soft. My philosophy about the things we put in our bodies and the things we put on our skin is that they should be as close to nature as possible. There are so many synthetics in our lives that do not speak to our bodies' wishes. Another part of my philosophy is that we should be able to enjoy what nature gives us, delighting in the senses of the natural world. The first thing people do when they pick up a bar of soap is sniff it. I try to find a balance between what is good for the skin and what is good for our sense of well being. There are a few scents that we enjoy that can't be reproduced in soap. For this reason, I use fragrance oils, although not natural, they so enhance the soap and at very little expense to the overall naturalness of the soap. I do use essential oils as well which are the closest thing to 100 percent natural anyone can get.
