Introduction	I’m the wife of a minister and the mom of three disturbingly beautiful children. One day, I hope to be a real Texan, since we live here now, but I was born and raised and married in Northern California, and then grew up (mostly) in Southeastern Louisiana. My husband and I lived through hurricane Katrina, but can’t seem to leave the Gulf Coast, and now our home is only a few minutes from the beach. We’re smart like that. I’ve written most of my own novel, which stalled like my first stick-shift when my second baby was born, but reading was my first love – especially the classics like Austen and Hemingway. Now my reading list is dominated by the self-help aisle. Some people call them child development books, but I’m convinced that they were written for my own sanity, not the kids’. And believe me – I need the help.
